Audri Writes is a compilation of the current blogs, Poetically Speaking and Writer's Block. As a native Houstonian, and published author, I create this blog to give you more of my words, wisdom, trials and quite frankly just me, for REAL! I pride myself of the honestly and realness of my work so I hope you enjoy. Come take a stroll with me, and see how it goes down on my writer's block.
All literary work read on this blog is 100% created by myself, Audreyanna Garrett, and if not, I give credit where credit is due.

The only tune
That soothes the tension
And softens the mood
Speaks to my soul
In a neo view
Rhythm in the form of soul
and blues
and I
Only seek joy
from soul tunes
And we are
The only genre my heart beats to
So to you
In 7 min
I say
In love
With truth
And passion
That I miss you
I crave the next 7 min
When I can hold you
Touch you
Because
Technology doesn’t aid
Meloncholy
That can only be cured
With your embrace
So
I exhaled today
In a way that was different from any other
I was frozen for a moment
Just as the breath exit my lips
It froze
And
For a second I thought how it didn’t feel how it normally felt
It wasn’t carefree
I felt contained
Restrained to distant memories
Epiphany
Attached to the emptiness
He left me
And I avoided it
Never faced the turmoil of it
Never cried as hard as I should have for it
Just neglected feelings
So
As the breath
Released from the grasp of my lips
I
Realized the affect he had on me
In the moment
Time froze and I wanted to go back to the day
We set each other free
I needed to rewind
I had to find a better way to free me
To release the attachment
To yearn no more for what was
Because where we were
That chapter has closed
And I welcome love
In the form of the man who loves me unconditionally
Who supports me
And will walk with me for all eternity
I welcome him
And thank him for being who is in love
With me
I closed
That chapter
Officially
I am loving him now
Truthfully
Some of the best, and very funny jokes begin with “Yo Mama”! I remember when I was in school that was the ultimate rank. We judged on how quick you could come up with the better joke. I can see it now, 2 surrounded by 20 in the cafeteria listening to see who would win (or get the last joke in). Nothing but Ohs and Ahhs but it was so much fun!
I don’t know about you but some of the funniest moments occur during reenactments. Why is it so funny to realize the a funny moment again?? My oldest sister is hands down one of the most funniest story tellers I know. She always has the SPOT ON reenactments that make you feel every ounce of joy, laughter, sarcasm, or whatever encompassed in that particular situation. She always cracks us up of stories as a flight attendant. Those are the best.
What are some of the funniest stories you have heard? Who Tells them?
